This is a very interesting subject because it affects our everyday life. In everything we do, we are emotional beings. But then these emotions could be positive or negative. They positive emotions keep us healthy and in good functioning condition but then most people are unaware that these emotions have health implications. Today we are treating negative emotions because they in turn translate negatively to our health. Some negative emotions include anger, hate, shame, regret, fear, grief, and so on.
Sometimes you wonder why some people react aggressively to situations while some entirely ignore the whole scenario. That’s a choice we have to make as individuals.
But bear in mind that when toxins are released into the body, and your feeling at that point would determine what the outcome would be. For instance, when your body releases oxytocin, you feel happy and good, but on the other hand, when a substance called cortisol, otherwise known as “the Death Hormone” is released when you are stressed, your body automatically kicks into survivor mode. It’s a personal decision.
“If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him.” ~ Hippocrates
Our emotions and experiences are primarily energy and can be stored up in cellular memories of our bodies that’s why some people who passed through traumatic experiences are left with emotional scars that are stored up and they relive it all the time until they accept to let it go through any means necessary.
I would close with an interesting discovery in the book, The Sacred Balance, by Davis Suzuki that condensed molecules from exhaled breath from verbal expressions of these negative emotions (anger, hatred, and jealousy), contain toxins. These toxins if accumulated over 1 hr is capable of killing 80 guinea pigs!!
Wow, that’s amazing right? Well decide to stay emotionally positive and intelligent, it could save your life.
