It has been few months since Amazon open a facility in Colorado and it is hiring drivers to use their cars to deliver to shoppers in the Denver area. This part-time job will be worth $18-25 an hour. This will supplement other driving gigs like Uber or Lyft.
The flex drivers need a car and a smartphone, must be 21 and above, pass a background check and have an Amazon account. There is no mention on who buys the gas or insurance for the car or repairs even though the Flex program report program states those are the responsibilities of the drivers.
According to Amazon site, the Flex drivers can sign up for available with the mobile app but they can’t choose their neighbourhood or package preference.
The Flex site will pay people who deliver the Prime Now packages (one-hour delivery service) an estimated amount of $36-50 per delivery block which will include tips for two hours of work. This one-hour delivery service is not yet available in Denver.
The regular Amazon delivery estimated earning is $72 per block for about four hours of work. Though an hour participants can earn about $25 an hour or more.
The details of this gig isn’t readily available yet but sites have written about what might work for Amazon Flex.
